My Story
As part of CAPPA (the international certification organization for doulas and childbirth/lactation educators) and a member of NCSA, Deanna has been extensively trained in newborn care. She is also tuned into the latest research on sleep training and the natural newborn rhythms of the first 14 weeks and has completed an intensive course with SleepWonders. Most importantly, she is Trustline registered through the state of California and a certified nursing assistant student with accreditation from Granada Hills School of Nursing. Having twins? Deanna has experience with multiples and preemies as well.
Whether it’s your first child or your fifth, Deanna understands that a newborn in the home affects the entire family. In addition to acting as a trusted confidant for mom, she exists to support everyone in the home during this transition period, including the other parent and any existing siblings. Her main goal with any family is to empower and ease stress with a calm demeanor and a smile.
No one's birth or healing experience is the same so Deanna tailors her services to each family individually. Sometimes the birth experience doesn’t go according to plan, or you don’t have any family in the area. Deanna will serve as your empathetic partner in navigating this experience.
With her extensive training, experience, and passion for children, you can trust that Deanna is the best choice in postpartum care for you and your new bundle of joy.
Outside of her work, Deanna loves dogs, hikes, reading books, baking treats for her neighbors and traveling. When she isn't entertaining, Deanna is attending to her studies toward becoming a registered nurse in the future.
